
Mama Adokuwa Asigble IV
MAMA ADOKUWA ASIGBLE (1946–2009) was a leader, educator, and advocate for women’s empowerment. Born in Tefle, she excelled in academics and leadership, joining the Ghana Police Service in 1965 and rising to Sergeant before shifting to education. She managed Datus Complex Schools and founded Tema Royal School.
Enstooled as Paramount Queen Mother of Tefle in 1978, she played a key role in Ghana’s democracy, serving on the NCCE, the National Consultative Assembly, and the South Tongu District Assembly. A lifelong learner, she earned a BSc at 53 and an MPhil at 62.
She championed women’s rights, founding RuWDA and the Tongu Queen Mothers Council, inspiring similar councils nationwide. She served on national boards, including NABPTEX and the Ghana Education Council. Internationally recognized, she received multiple awards and represented Ghana in global conferences.
Dedicated to education, leadership, and social change, she uplifted the vulnerable and fostered unity. She passed away on July 11, 2009, leaving a lasting legacy.

NANA ADUGYAMFI AMOAMPONG II( HENRY KWADWO ANOCHIE)
Born to the Bretuo Royal Family of Jamasi-Ashanti, Henry was educated in Tamale Technical Institute, and proceeded to France to further his Education in Textiles in 1961 where he graduated and came back to join Tema Thread Company.
He was the production Manager in TTC till he resigned in 1979 to support the wife to establish and run the Royal School till date.He is currently Jamasihene in The Ashanti Region of Ghana.
